Cloudy. Nail vanished. Ripe cherries, floral, tea leaves etc but not as pure. Good acidity and richness, dusty tannin. Getting sweeter and brighter with air. Long finish, very engaging and still showing the finesse. Superb for 1994. 1990 Beaux Monts was my 1st from Leroy and remains one of my absolute top wines since then.

Fine effort in the vintage. Shot above expectation but passed its peak.

Chicago Wine Flock...Krengels compare New vs Old World (Casa Krengel - Bannockburn IL): Tasted double blind. Also clearly Pinot Noir with lots of red fruit and subtle savory spice and dried herbs. Slightly past its peak, but very charming, balanced and elegant.
