Received as a gift and knew it would be awful as I used to live a mile from Biltmore Estate in Asheville and have gone on the tour with "wine tasting". I have no idea what year this is as there is no vintage on the bottle. Does it matter? No, because swill is ageless and will always be swill. I only opened out of perverse curiosity as to what an "American Sangiovese" would taste like in their hands. Oaky Kool-Aid if you like that sort of thing, with apologies to Kool-Aid.

Garnet color with medium legs, tart and earthy smell with some astringency in the back of the mouth, passable table wine. No pepper and no finish to speak of.

Nice deep garnet color; cherries and spicy pepper on the nose. Jammy plums and red raspberries with a hint of vanilla and a twinge of mint envelops the tongue. Well-balanced.
