Deep, dark reddish-purple in color with no signs of aging. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty, floral & herbal notes, minerals, mint, spices & a hint of toasted oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with herbs, spices, minerals & oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing. At 15 years of age, it may be close to or at its peak of development but nevertheless, should hold for a couple of more years although any further development may be minimal.

Pnp for Rosha Shona brisket. No real bricking, no sed. Lovely Napa Cab. Subtle nose of red and black fruits. Palate showed cassis and some earthiness, soft mouthfeel with resolved tannins. Enjoyable tonight, food friendly. No reason to hold, enjoy with min decant.

Surprising, to me, dark fruit aromatics on the nose. Not as obvious on the tongue, but there is cassis, but less fruit and more things like unsweetened chocolate, tobacco, leather and dustiness. Some of those sensations may be coming from some still obvious tannin. This is a full-bodied wine that might be a great pairing with a hearty winter stew, but I’m loving it with a grilled flank steak in the summer.

Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (Brunswick & Hunt): I thought this Napa Cab was twice as old as it was. It drank consistently throughout the evening after pop-and-pour. Well-aged, some acetone on the nose, perhaps a touch of Bret, chewy sweet mature tannins. Quite nice. My and the group's #2 of 4.

At the end of its life. Still ok, but really doesn't have much complexity at this point. Should have drunk it three or four years ago. Medium bodied.
