  Drank at home by the fire with hard cheese and nuts. At first blush, straight out of the bottle it had an attractive nose and perhaps was a little harsh for the first few sips though still tasty. However, either it or I mellowed over the evening and it was quite delicious.

  Single vineyard. Pretty, dark red fruits on the nose - cherry, licorice, talcum powder. On the palate - fairly strong and bitter; simple but has some material here. Feels extracted despite the pretty nose. 84-86
