Ripe peaches and limes, a nice floral note, a slight diesely edge and a hint of VA. Dense and glyceriny but not overly alcoholic, there's a hint of RS here but there's enough acidity to hold it together. This kept putting on weight and gaining in power over a few hours. Very nice, certainly a big wine but not overdone.

Gold color. Intense nose of ripe summer orchard fruits, apricot and orange marmalade, baking spices and honey. A rich, oily palate follows with waves of jammy apricots and peaches, vanilla creme-brulee and a long off-dry finish. There is just enough acidity to keep the wine in perfect harmony with the appreciable sweetness/botrytis without being cloying. Lovely wine.., again proving that these ZH wines from good years age beautifully.

Medium yellow in color. Classic ripe ZH PG aromas, candied peaches, apricot preserves and creme-brulee. The palate is unabashedly ripe, rich and unctous, with waves of off-dry, cooked yellow orchard pit fruit marmalade, medium acidity and a long honeyed finish. This was a pretty decent showing, and was bloody damn good with Vietnamese style salt and pepper shrimp!!
