Stunning wine. Hour decant to let off the "old" odors after pouring through filter (massive thrown sediment). Violet at the core with a bit of bricking at the edges. Blue fruits, some earthiness and smoke. Acid, tannin-- all in beautiful balance. ~30 second finish. This was absolutely singing alongside some bison chorizo ravioli in romesco sauce.

Wow. The first time I ever even heard of this wine. It was in my cellar through some acquisition I made in 2013.
Let me start by stating that I love old wine. This one is fully ready to drink right now if not in the last 2-3 years. Just heading over the edge now but wow is it rich, and viscous. Rotted strawberry, sweet plum, blueberry and a stunning freshly laid asphalt finish. This is mature and the wine is simply stunning. I'd recommend drinking this now.

Last one of these, and a delight as usual. Still at peak and drinking beautifully.
