Spanish Wines with some heavy hitters (Becky's House): Very dark red color. Really nice nose here, lovely earth, minerals, blackberry, black cherry, spice, oak. On the palate this has abundant glycerin, nice weight, good concentration with black cherry, kirsch, some dry herbs, spice, oak, and pepper. This finishes long and with some pleasant spice notes. No signs of heat, drining well.

I have to do a completely new review for this wine on day 2 as it has changed for the good. On the nose crushed berries, blackberries, chocolate, and exotic spices. The palate is really acidic along with violets, blackberries, minerals, spices and medium tannins. Concentrated finish and really nice wine. Not an $80 retail wine but worth around $50.

Creamy vanilla, mixed berry and oak. Heat on the long finish. This is drinking very well right now.

Spanish Wine Tasting (LAN, Muga, Resalte, Mas Doix...) (Becky's House): Great showing and should improve a bit over the next few years. Raspberries, earth, spice, cherry and minerals. A blend of five grapes and balanced. Medium finish. Drink now - 2014.

Minneapolis wine club: Ribera del Duero vs. Priorat (Kristen's House): Another solid showing with menthol, minerlas, cherry and earth. Medium finish and plenty left in the take as I see this wine going strong for a decade. Decanted one hour.
