15% alcohol; medium to heavy foil, real cork; imported by Kysela Pére [should be Père!] et fils, Winchester, VA; long legs, very dark red; nose is forward, alcohol & cherries like the earth has never seen (or tasted!); tasted at room temperature (24 degrees C); opened, ventured & tasted 1/2 hour afterwards; hasn't aged very well, or simply too long; bitterness has crept in, tannins still sharp, finish not good, not rated

William Randell is at its peak now, though there should still be several wonderful years yet to come. This wine exhibits power, personality, plus plenty of robust fruits for which Barossa is justifiably famed. Everything is fully integrated now. Beautiful.

Decanted 1 hr, last bottle of six, nice ending, more subtle that I was expecting, with restrained blackberry, dark cherry, currants, vanilla, spice and just a hint of earth. This bottle was quite well balanced and reasonably dry by Aussie standards. Drink over the next few years!

A bit of a disappointment compare to the previous 5 bottles. One demensional, drying tannins, sweet, some koolaid. This bottle from a cool environment (88)
