  • A bit, sort of, "meh". Which is not to say it wasn't good, it just didn't quite stand up against the other wines of the night.

    Opened a couple of hours beforehand. Creamy nose with a little citrus in there but little or no real acidity. On the palate quite fresh but the freshness dissipated fairly quickly. Wine had plenty of body but remained fairly dry. A bit "blanket" in the mouth - vanilla in there alongside a hint of floral but a little too acidic. Kept going quite well though and was fairly fine at the finish.

    QPR not great. But then it often isn't in aged Burgundy....
