The wine was definitely past its prime. It was by no means the worst wine I've ever had, but it wasn't good either. There was no real complexity left in this wine. It's still drinkable, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The nose is essentially dead. Small amounts of fruit over nothing else. The palate is slightly better with cherries and strawberries coming through. No oak, no complexity. This wine is spent and past its prime but still holding up well considering its pedigree.
