This opens with an interesting nose of earth, olive and some red berries. It has tastes of red berries and has a smooth mouth feel. The medium finish has some fruit, but is overpowered by a tannic, almost astringent finish, which unfortunately is the only part of the wine which doesn't work. Note, tasting sample was dregs of one bottle and more from a freshly opened bottle. Either portion could have skewed my impression.
