  • The last 1/8 of cork remained in the neck but came out easily and about 1/3 of the cork was soft but otherwise sealing well with hardly any wine lost to the angels. Quite a shy nose at first (cold). Decanted once and presented blind. It was a deep straw colour but not caramelised and quite appealing. There was a good mix of lemon, white peach, slightly herbal flavours. Good viscosity and a nice balance of soft acid. After all these years its still a great drink but possibly on a very slow downward path now.

  • Seems a little subdued & fruit has somewhat faded. Still a decent hit of zesty lemon on the palette though not picking up much else, expecting a lot more of the aged Semillon characteristics. None of the usual butteryness or straw and toast notes.
