Tightly coiled with citrus core and hints of viscosity. Powerful acidity a tad unintegrated at present. Infanticide in my view - needs at least another couple of years in cellar to start displaying all its elements followed by a long evolutionary period in the stratosphere. 2026 (at least) onwards and then for 20+yrs from vintage. Potential 91+?+

Lots of lemon and citrus acid. Now 9 year old wine. Getting the age it deserves. Great with son steamed fish. Slight green grass nose. Light yellow colour. Will last another 20 years. Not the sort of wine to rush into. Looking forward to keeping some for a long time

'Aged Aussies' Dinner (Joseph's Place, Wong Chung Hang, Hong Kong): Served blind. Very light silver gold colour. Nose is new bicycle tyres. Palate is very light. Citric. No length. Seemed lightweight in tonight's line-up but nothing wrong with it if drank on its own.

Hunter Whistlestop 2020 #2 (Hunter Valley): Just a little toast, cream, honey, butter, green apple note with fresh lemon peel. There is a savoury meaty note with time on the nose. Medium plus intensity acidity, a little sour apple, tangy, butter, toast and a smidge of honey just coming through. Quite forward for a 7 year old Lovedale. Still nice though.

Racy acidity piercing through the waxy, lanolin, grapefruit and honey characters. Medium plus intensity, medium plus finish. Love it every time I try.
