Most of my tasting notes are of wines beyond their time and this is no exception. I was dismayed to discover two of these in the cellar recently and checking in with cellar tracker didn't make me feel any better. Fill was good, cork was perfect, color a bit faded with some bricking. Initially a somewhat bland, tired, hollow, but drinkable, this opened up some and was actually pleasant and interesting. A real solid showing by the reliable, if unremarkable Parallel 45. Probably more fun than it would have been 12 years ago when this was probably at peak. Looking forward to the other bottle.

Effect from the Japanese TV drama. I decant this magnum into the decanter because if one knows it's Cotes du Rhone...bias will be occured. After 60 mins passed by, hints a bit of Hermitage-chalky scent, nice deep and clean too. wonderful sweet, great balance, easy delicious, good tannin structure. Soft, smooth and tender aftertaste....fairy long finished. Everyone loves it, good vintage, great producer and the most important thing...the right time...the right place !!! Much better than the same magnum ( buying same time, same shop ) tasting few years ago. I should go back to get more magnum bottle of 2003. It's very good to be a great table wine with a little bit spicy food.
Drink now - 2015....................92+/100.........................

Softer flavor than what I remember from the tasting. Needed to drink it, and it held up well. Glad I carried this thing in my suitcase all the way home from France!

Good, not too old but on the verge. Complex, fine wine.
