A.P. #35. A very good bottle again, this one. A reasonably bright mid-yellow colour. The nose is a bit weak, offering vague apple notes, but the palate is fresh and lively with nicely concentrated ripe yellow apple flavours, despite it being very, very slightly corked.

A.P. 35 08. With its lightish to mid-yellow, this was a fresher-looking bottle than the two noted previously, although it did progress to a medium yellow three hours later. Noses fresh, but otherwise weakly, with distant apple and other white-fleshed fruit. There is some green there as well. It begins a little shy, but builds to show plenty of ripe and juicy fruit in 2 hours, almost providing a creamy-textured mid-palate. Impressive concentration for a basic estate wine. A better bottle and very good. On the basis of today's bottle I could endorse holding this wine for a few more years, but I have experienced too much variation since 2020 to recommend that course.

Darker yellow, almost like a yellow apple but with a slightly more brown hue. Sweet but not cloying with the hallmarks of Riesling. The age shouldn't turn you away.

Definitely faded. Better on second day.

A good, solid German Riesling.
