The nose is rich yet fresh and filled with ripe tropical fruits, vivid orange blossoms, ginger, and fresh honeycomb. The palate opens with lush and sweet but decidedly balanced apples, braised pears, and white flowers. The mid-palate introduces deep tones of dried tropical fruits with cinnamon, anise, and dried apricot lingering on the fantastic finish. The wine is expansive and rich but bolstered by a distinctive acid spine. This has depth, balance, and finesse. R&M 90

Nice pale straw color. Nose of pungent appricot, honeysuckle, vanilla, and herb. Palate of appricot, honeysuckle, and good minerality. Really good mouthfeel, above average to long finish, needs time to develop more complexity, but is very clean for a desert wine.

Thanksgiving dinner at Nags Head. Notes from day 2. The lighter of the two dessert bottles. Pale gold yellow in color. Nose of honey comb, lemon, quince, little petrol funk. Palate of sugar coated lemon, honey, quince paste, more minerality than the other bottle, with nice acidity. Not cloying. Hold or drink. 50+5+11+17+7

This was good but not amazing. No reason to hold.
