  Still pulling. End of life, still has vibrant tannin and acidity, tertiary is in full gown. Leather and dried black fruits on the nose with some sweet red fruit in the mouth. Mellow and complex at the same time. A pleasure with some simple dark chocolate.

  13.5% alcohol. Decanted. A bit funky on the nose at first. It was hard to place precisely what the funk was -- it was exactly reductive or brett or even just bottle must. In any case, that blew off, and the wine opened up beautifully. A very pretty style of Cabernet. Not showing any age at all. Dark red through to the rim of the glass. In the mouth, a linear style that cuts a pleasing swath across your tongue of black currant fruit, tobacco, earth, a touch of spice, and velvety texture. Very well balanced, with lovely acidity and a long finish. This is a really terrific wine. A-
