  • Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): First impression is just young for a 25 year old champagne. I didn’t realize that this producer is a collective. The wine is made up of many of the best Chardonnay vineyards. Very well priced and very tasty for that price. Light and bright and a bit of lemon and all of that. It was an enjoyable wine.

  • Dark yellow color. Still good fizz. Very rich and unctuous, with a rich and viscous nose and mouth feel. Very creamy, and toasty, with a burnt caramel feel, hints of acid still there, stringent at times. Evolves over time to show a rich and full bodied flora of vanilla bean and perhaps ginger. A unique wine and worth seeking out.

  • Still very much alive after all these years. Nice bead, clear golden yellow appearance. Rich almost, decadent on the palate with notes of brioche, and subtle fruit reminiscent of Ohio paw paw with hints of custard. An enduring finish completes the experience. A good day...

  • (Disgorged in November 2007, 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger, dosage 7 gr/L)
Lovely golden yellow colour with a stream of fine bubbles lead way for the maturing nose showing plums, minerals and citrus. Opens up with a lovely cream and butterscotch note that is just lovely!
Smoothing yellow apples acidity at first and opens up on the mid with butterscotch notes before the very distinct dried citrus fruit bitterness in a very delicious way. This was drinking perfectly with the white asparagus and hollandaise sauce.
    (Best 2018-2028)

  • (Disgorged in June 2011, 100% Chardonnay from Avize, Crémant, Oger and Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger, dosage 7 gr/l)
Lovely maturing nose showing mandarin, minerals and butter at first and with hints of chocolate and butterscotch building up in the glass. Palate starts off with a nice and fresh yellow apple acidity and a hint of ginger before a very creamy butterscotch feeling on the lasting finish. With added time in the glass it opens up with notes of butterscotch, marzipan and yellow plums on the finish. This is a good showing 1998, and only showing small signs of oxidation and with a very nice freshness! (Probably best 2013-2028)
