It had more body and balance than previous bottles, showing red cherry fruit with earth and a touch of leather. The tannin is still noticeable, but not intrusive.   From magnum. Initially a very nice nose of damp earth and mature fruit. On the palate it was a bit astringent, but over time the tannins faded and this hit a nice spot. Good wine, but a bit past its prime, and faded further during the evening. Only real complaints were a slight roast to the fruit and a bit thin on the finish, but still nice for the price. I would have guessed it came from further south. Drink now. B+/A-
