  • From magnum. My last, but the best of the lot. This showed well with just 30 minutes of air. It had more body and balance than previous bottles, showing red cherry fruit with earth and a touch of leather. The tannin is still noticeable, but not intrusive. Reminded me of a nice Barbaresco from the same vintage. Would be drinking now as not sure how long the fruit will hold up. A-

  • From magnum. Initially a very nice nose of damp earth and mature fruit. On the palate it was a bit astringent, but over time the tannins faded and this hit a nice spot. Good wine, but a bit past its prime, and faded further during the evening. Only real complaints were a slight roast to the fruit and a bit thin on the finish, but still nice for the price. I would have guessed it came from further south. Drink now. B+/A-

  • wowww, this is nice; consistenly utterly beguiling; seems more soil driven - in a damp spring morning kind of way - otheriwse consistent with earlier note.

  • Very pleasantly surprised here considering the vintage; dusty but fresh red fruit and baking spice framed by complimentary notes of earth and a bit of barnyard; this is drinking very well right now but still has the structure to last for a while. Enjoyed this very much.
