Very satisfying, sexy nose of loamy earth, strawberry, and maybe rhubarb. Very well integrated oak, red skinned fruit, and more sexy earth/soil overtones. Long finish. The interesting thing was how the taste changed after trying a 1999 Chateau Cheval Blanc, and then coming back for another sip. It became a different monster, much darker and meatier. A fascinating Burgundy.
