PnP. Opaque purple-red. Does not look or taste like a Pinot. I suspect that a few per cent Syrah or Petite Sirah were added to make a "bigger" Pinot. This is a nice Syrah, but for tonight's dinner, I wanted something lighter. 84 as a Pinot; 92 as a Syrah.

Not my idea of a pinot noir, but not a bad wine either. Reminded me of a blend with maybe syrah or Mourvèdre. On palate I had a lot of alcohol and some plum and dark cherry. Fairly thin mouth-feel, and short finish. Overall an OK wine, but not one I'm likely to repurchase.

Nose is a bit hot, candied cherry and lavender as it opens and the ethanol blows off. Palate is mature, the earth is picking up some leather, although some brightness shines on the back end. While not a wow wine, for the price, it's a great everyday pinot with an unusually high QPR for the area.

Popped and poured. Drank over 4 hours. Initially a tad bit closed, thin and lacking the depth that I like. In a word - uninspiring. But after 2 hours it started to show better with some nice earthy notes for the nose and interesting red and dark fruits on the palette. As noted by another reviewer, the alcohol was slightly showing on the nose, but I thought overall this wine was a fair representation of a mature Oregon Pinot Noir. Ready to drink now if you like some age on your wine. Decanting recommended.
I picked this up at Costco for $12.50 and I'll probably go back and buy 6 more bottles. I'd rather drink this than a 2010 Pinot that is not ready yet.

While certainly drinkable as a red table wine, a classic expression of pinot noir this is not. The 2006 vintage was notoriously ripe, but if I'd have drank this blind I'd have marked it as syrah. Nose was dark fruits and heat, with a tinge of menthol. Palate came together a bit as the night wore on, but the bottle had to be chilled a bit to disguise the unmistakable alcohol note poking through. Once that was accomplished it was all dark fruits and simplicity.
