Much Much better then olmos reward (other big Red). This shows well with leather, game, pepper. Very restrained. Needs maybe more time in glass to open up. Wine lacks the finish of a brilliant syrah. Not jammy like other aussies

Pronouced black pepper, game and leather on the nose. Palate is very restricted for an Aussie, but it was just opened as well. Quite amazing wine at $19, wish I saw more of this sort of thing from Australia.

the nose is a beguiling blend of black cherry, black pepper, a fennel/herbal spice compnent, orange peel and rubber. the palate is bright and juicy with a soapy black pepper edge that turns slightly bitter on the finish. bright acid and barely any tannin to speak of. this is a shiraz for syrah lovers.

This is current release in the US. So they release slowly?
The overall story "thier flagship is ommers reward(?), the husband and wife who make this wine fell in love with Bordeaux so they started to look at where to plant grapes and raise sheep. So they start ready Harold Omos (?) UC Davis reserach about the best place to plant Bordeaux varieties in Australia. So they ended up here and Chardonnay and Shiraz works as well."
Fresh vibrant cherry fruit with an underlayment of roasted meats. Very fresh through the palate. Lengthy finish, shows tension. This is very fine.
