PNP. cork wet almost to top but intact. color browning. nose dominated by five spice and some rhubarb and vague fruit. swishing shows persistent acid with some tannin bringing up the rear. there is also some alcohol in here that shines on the finish. really delicious tonight with duck legs. i think will drink remaining '07 cristom wines near term as they seem on the verge

In a bang up flight of 07 Cristom Eileen/07 Rhys Alpine/07 Dujac Malcansorts. Hugely aromatic with loads of black cherry, pine and stem. Great concentration and power with a lovely round mouthfeel. More than held it's own in a flight that was so good that it was hard to pick a favorite.

Medium ruby hue. Firm, dense nose of cherry pits, raspberry, earth, violets. A suggestion of velvet texture amidst the fruit on first sip, with growing persistence of raspberry, red plum, cinnamon, iodine, earth, and a hint of integrated green stems on the palate. Lovely acidity and serious but smoothed tannin in harmonious balance, leading to a longer finish of rich red berry fruit underpinned by soft earthy grip. Just excellent and in a very nice place in its drinking window.

Pop n' pour and drank over an hour with dinner. Gorgeous perfumed aromatics of lighter red cherry and stems. The palate is lighter styled given vintage but packed with herbal, floral, stem and spice accents. Dances across the palate like a ballerina with a soft, deft touch throughout. Fantastic.

Probably at peak. Some fruit has fallen out, a bit of funk to match, and a really nice finish.
