PNP. cork wet almost to top but intact. color browning. nose dominated by five spice and some rhubarb and vague fruit. swishing shows persistent acid with some tannin bringing up the rear. there is also some alcohol in here that shines on the finish. really delicious tonight with duck legs. i think will drink remaining '07 cristom wines near term as they seem on the verge

In a bang up flight of 07 Cristom Eileen/07 Rhys Alpine/07 Dujac Malcansorts. Hugely aromatic with loads of black cherry, pine and stem. Great concentration and power with a lovely round mouthfeel. More than held it's own in a flight that was so good that it was hard to pick a favorite.

Medium ruby hue. Firm, dense nose of cherry pits, raspberry, earth, violets. A suggestion of velvet texture amidst the fruit on first sip, with growing persistence of raspberry, red plum, cinnamon, iodine, earth, and a hint of integrated green stems on the palate. Lovely acidity and serious but smoothed tannin in harmonious balance, leading to a longer finish of rich red berry fruit underpinned by soft earthy grip. Just excellent and in a very nice place in its drinking window.

Pop n' pour and drank over an hour with dinner. Gorgeous perfumed aromatics of lighter red cherry and stems. The palate is lighter styled given vintage but packed with herbal, floral, stem and spice accents. Dances across the palate like a ballerina with a soft, deft touch throughout. Fantastic.

PNP. Cork leaked to top. Color showing some age. This has the telltale cinnamon and five spice from cristom. This goes down like velvet. Not a rough edge to be found and the fruit is almost sweet. This is in a perfect drinking window.

Stunning and still young but great balance of fruit and mineral. Rally nice red volcanic terroir with red and surprisingly given vintage a hint of black ripe fruits. Elegant!

Awesome nose - lots of earth and red fruits. Rich, ripe and concentrated on the palate. Surprisingly full-bodied and rich for a 2007. Velvety texture with soft edges, nice balance and a medium finish.

I first had this at the winery about 2 years ago and thought it was drinking beautifully. Unfortunately I think this bottle has now lost some of its charm. Has a very pronounced sweet cherry note with a little hint of spice. The finish is where I think it has fallen off... the cherry note finishes a bit too sweet and the acidity isn't there for the much needed backbone. Probably waited a bit too long to open this one.

Found discounted at $30, but still not great QPR. Agree with previous taster notes on dark fruit, decent structure and some spice. Also agree there is nothing spectacular here.

PnP. Really lovely pinot with typical Oregonian flavors and textures. Mostly dark fruit with good depth, a nice lean texture, some spice and plenty of structure and grip. Nothing spectacular, but everything about it was good. A wine that kept my interest through several glasses. Was disappointed when it was gone.

Plenty of fruit in this bottle and surprised me being on the forward side, though nicely balanced. Medium acidity and a velvety, full palate, painted with a nice dark cherry. Fun and interesting.

taste: fuller bodied with medium acidity and plump tones of spices, dark red cherries, rich red fruits, and a good dose of plums
overall: a bit surprised when this was revealed. Came across more as a style wine than one that I completely enjoy. Still, this is showing weight on the palate that very few in the press have placed on the 07 vintage

Cristom Wine Dinner (The Columbus Club): this one showed complexity that neither the Jefferson nor Sommers had. Color was medium ruby. Nose showed cherry fruit withminerals, menthol, and some earth aromas.Palate showed bright fruit, good acid balance, and medium length spicy finish.

Lovely ruby color, medium bodied. Black and red cherries and a hint of smoke. Agree with the comments of 'elegant'. We'd like to find more of this one, and keep it for later.

Cristom, St. Innocent, Johan Vineyards (Eola-Amity/Willamette Valley, OR): Much bigger fruit here than the Sommers, but it's still soft and elegant. Quite pleasing on the nose. Soft and pretty fruit on the palate, and nothing green; just tart and elegant. Nice acidity and very tart on the finish; quite nice, but not much fruit at present, just very light bright red fruits. I think this will blossom with age.

Memorial Day Weekend near Salem Oregon (Willamette Valley Oregon): Dark cherry scents are rich and powerful on the nose. They're accompanied by some melon notes and a bit of barnyard. The mouth feel is elegant and enjoyable. Dark cherries with skins show, as well as dark earth. Everything is well integrated, and some late arriving acidity brings the melon flavors suggested by the nose. 89+

Great little pinot - plenty of fruit. In a nice drinking spot I think. We got it cheap (under $40) - I regret not buying more at that price point
