Pnp at home. First time drinking a d'Ardhuy Burgundy and was not expecting much given the good but not great vintage, and not being much of a Clos Vougeot fan in general. But this was nothing like the expected lean, dark fruited and earthy Pinot. Instead a slightly cloudy ruby in the glass. Very Vosne like on the palate with beautiful red fruit and wood spices. Resolved tannins. Good length. Beautiful wine. PS: Checked on d'Ardhuy's Vougeot holdings, and these were at the time 70 year old vines in Petit Maupertui, in the upper part of Vougeot and just next to Grands Echezeaux. Great buy.
