  • Tremendous value for GC red Burgundy. Silky and still quite primary, but with plenty of developing notes and well-integrated (but clear) new oak. Quite enjoyable.

  • At a perfect place if you like well aged old world style. With byob dinner of walnut crusted brie, scallops with smoked potato puree, seafood risotto and duck meatballs with fresh made pasta. Light at PnP, little air did the trick. Delicious, lighter, easy drinking due to age, soft, not fruit forward but not what was looking for. Shed tannins and sulfites, but not past due. The wine is real good, could easily drink without food and hard to stop, but when paired with the dinner it made the already amazing food explode into a pairing of near perfection with no overshadowing of food or wine, both working seamlessly to help each other.

Be aware, cut the wax off before drive to dinner, then un-corked it in the car before heading into restaurant (dnt let anyone open me wines). But when first cut the wax heard air escape and saw the top of the cork was thin, kinda dry but not bad. The drive shook the wine a little still corked and some beads of wine were escaping through the cork. If you open recommend not early, right before serving in case same occurs when wax comes off.

  • Great showing here. Served blind in a lineup of assorted, mostly Cote de Beaune, grand cru red Burgundy. Moderate red color. Pretty nose of earth, iron, red cherry, and a tough of flowers. In the mouth, impressively restrained and packed with flavor. Glides across the palate. A superb showing with a long finish. A-/A

  • It took awhile to open up but once it did it was really lovely. Floral and ripe stone fruit nose. Nice acidity and silky, well integrated tannins. Dark plum and a little bit of strawberry on the palate along with the whiffs of sun warmed stones and mineral inflected rocks. Delicious. Ready to drink although still benefits from some airing and/or decant.
