Dark garnet, some clearing at rim. Lifted bouquet showing violets and dark plums. Palate is dark cherry profile with lovely hints of oak on the long final. Tannins still present but very fine. Medium bodied, nice vibrancy and very balanced.
Showing very well now but I feel this still has 5 years ahead of it.

Dark garnet, clearing rim. Lovely bouquet with cassis, raspberry and a mossy sous-bois aspect. Palate is similar, with spicy wood notes and fine tannins. Cherry acidity comes through on the long final. Body is just a little slight relative to what one expects from the pedigree and bouquet, but overall this is still a very nice package.
Bought these on a tip from a wine store that has always provided good counsel and am not disappointed. Looking forward to my others over the next 5-10 years.

Restaurant purchase at a nice French Bistro in Baltimore called Le Petit Louis. Decanted right after choosing so it got about 60 minutes of air before we got to the second course to drink it. Still quite closed however. Medium to dark nearly opaque ruby with no hint of bricking. Great acidity and structure with a still young fruit profile and mineral undertones. Slightly savory and meaty with some fresh herbs along with bright black cherry and black raspberry, maybe a bit of ripe strawberry. So elegant and long on the finish. Great with my seared duck breast as well as the other entrees of duck confit and steak frites.
