Bought on release. Bottle in perfect condition. More of the rounder style than the steely style but drinking quite well at 15 year with citrus notes. Will probably stay there for a few years. Drink until 2026

Chablis Sunday: Visit to La Chablisienne, Chablis; 1/10/2019-1/11/2019: La Chablisienne also had an older bottle open for tasting. On bouquet, slightly caramelised with lemon toffee apple, honey and some Turkish Delight. On palate, clearly oxidised but appropriately so for a 10 year old 1er. Not at all cheesy. Lemon meringue, preserved citrus and lemon toffee. Bone dry though. Good weight and drive. Serious 2008 acidity. Enjoyable. Drink soon.

It is always extremely satisfactory to drink wines at optimal maturity. This is still fresh and vibrant with aroma and taste of citrus, green apples and chalk. But in addition it also has that aged tone of honey, vanilla, licquorice and pears. Medium to full bodied, good acidity, long and fresh aftertaste dominated by citrus. lime and apples. Surprisingly good given the age and the not stellar reputation of producer and vineyard. Drunk forom magnum.

Slate, minerality, honeyed richness, spice, lemon and lime citrus zing! All is well with this 7 year old Chablis. Beautifully mature, with 5+ years of life remaining, the med+ acidity carries the flavors into a fairly long, lime and stone laden finish.

Not really for me. Not a lot of fruit left here. Bitter taste. Nose is weak.
