lovely cinnamon and sandalwood nose. mature, showing some pruney notes, but still has lovely clear cherry and blackberry fruit. medium-bodied and lean in the character of the vintage but not angular.

Wine Tasted at Acker Auction (Marea - New York NY): Very mature red fruit with good baking spice. More advanced that I would expect. Very enjoyable today, but I wouldn't expect greater things going forward.

Epic Champagne Tasting (Fringale, San Francisco): Light to medium ruby-red color with only a little bricking; nose shows nice spice, red cherry fruit, very aromatic, a little stemmy (green notes) which I like, slight earthy beetroot; palate is light bodied, good fresh acidity, red cherry fruit, midpalate develops earthy complexity; finish is medium length. This is an excellent burgundy that is at peak with a plateau ahead, drinking well now with good complexity on the nose and palate. A very good wine, but expensive for the quality. 92 Day 2: Not too different, just slightly more oxidized. Still very enjoyable.

Brick color. Plums, strawberries and nice spicy notes on the nose. Palate is very soft and welcoming; almost a little "loose". Very good length though, and just enough fruit. Nice and fully mature, to my taste.

From an excellent looking bottle, this wine had a tawny/pale rim with a brick red center. The medium- intensity nose featured brown spices, soil, and a hint of violets. It seemed surprisingly advanced for the vintage.
In the mouth, the wine was watery at first and then became increasingly tannic and lean. It took 4 hours of decanting for the tannin to round out. At this point the wine revealed a round mouth feel with the mature flavors mention in the description of the nose. It begged for food as it had strong acidity, rounded tannin, and barely enough fruit to cover the bones. It was reasonably enjoyable but not near what one should expect from this wine in a good vintage. I believe it is on the downhill slope and is unlikely to improve.
