France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru
Dark golden color. Aromas of hazelnut, mature stone fruit and sweet spice. Similarly flavorful and mature on palate, moderate intensity and length. Drink up.
Apple and pear on both nose and palate with hints of baking spice. Ripe and fat fruit to start, more mineral-driven textures near finish. Good now, very good for its level.
Dark color. Ripe orchard fruit aromas with some baked apple flavor that comes across as fairly mature. Lots of power and concentration throughout, with some vibrant acidity emerging at the very finish.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
From 3L bottle. Alluringly ripe apple and pear with peach hints on nose and palate. Lots of spice that I would consider partly classically Corton-Charlemagne, but also still showing lots of new oak.
Lots of strawberry and tart red cherry on nose and palate, all very powerful. Bit of toast comes through in background. Surprisingly advanced for its age.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
Very mature red fruit with good baking spice. More advanced that I would expect. Very enjoyable today, but I wouldn't expect greater things going forward.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Musigny Grand Cru
Red and black berry aromas, followed by more black fruit flavors and good spice. Slightly more advanced than I would expect, but still firm from middle to finish, which continues with some nuance and finesse. Tough to assess how/where this will evolve going forward.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos de Tart Grand Cru
Very mushroomy with lots of forest floor. Started borderline dirty, but that blew off after a few minutes. Showed very mature red and black cherry aromas and flavors start-to-finish. Nice and elegant, just not as exciting as the most recent bottle I tried a few years back.
Bright and eye opening, continues to impress as before, even at this very early stage in its life. Consistent with the other 3-4 times I've had this great young Champagne.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Red cherry aromas and flavors that come across as very forward, showing more "2006" character to me vs "Bonnes Mares" character. Intriguing sweet and savory spice emerges mostly from middle to finish, with tannins and density most notable at the very end.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
Small taste. Already sensational and balanced, a monumental young wine that's great now. Perhaps this will shut down, but I really want to see where this wine will be as it matures 2025 forward.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Fresh and forward black and red cherry aromas and flavors with subtle spice. Fun and forward, still quite fresh, very nicely balanced. Lacking a little bit of concentration I often find and like in Bonnes Mares.

1966 Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon
France, Champagne
Caramel character with sweet apple and pear elements. Very rich, charming and long. I rarely like Champagne this old, but this is very enticing.
