After reading these notes, I didn't have my hopes up for success. Ok, so I cracked it open to go w/ my grilled cheeseburgers and steak fries & a side of sour kraut (a Franksville tradition). This is a decent Zin for the occasion,Deep color, nice nose, medium bodied, subtle fruit; I liked it. Maybe it needed some time to mature.

I seem to be the odd man out on this one. While not an amazing wine by any stretch of the imagination. If you like a moderately jammy Zin with lots of berries and some spice, this works. Especially for a 10 buck bottle. Great pizza wine.

Inky garnet color. Aromas of black cherry, raspberry liqueur and pepper; jammy. Medium-bodied, with jammy raspberry, red fruit and white pepper flavors.
Varietally correct, and while not something I would seek out, at $3/btl it would make a decent bbq red for serving at family gatherings, etc.
