Budget Burgundies (Wine Exchange - Orange, CA): Fruity and pungent on the nose with red berries, earth, and underbrush. Similar notes on the palate which yields herbal earthy fruit in a funky lean style. This is bright, approachable, and refreshing but not terribly moving.

Dark red. Some funky earthiness on the nose but some bright cherry peaking through. Tart cherry with a dash of acid is followed by some gravelly earth and pretty fruit on the mid palate. The finish is the star and taunts you. Great stuff and a great value for wine this good.
