Very fruity and perfumed on the nose with cherry and raspberry aromas. Supple and inky on the palate with fresh dark fruit and edgy tannins on the finish. Although this is not that interesting it should offer pleasant drinking with food.

More restrained, delicate, and complex on the nose here with notes of dark cherry and stones. The palate offers minerals, elegant red fruit, spices, and fresh acidity that provides great balance and texture.

Fruity and pungent on the nose with red berries, earth, and underbrush. Similar notes on the palate which yields herbal earthy fruit in a funky lean style. This is bright, approachable, and refreshing but not terribly moving.

Very primary with gobs of fruit aromas such as berries, cherries, and floral perfume. The exuberant fruit carries over to the palate which shows red and purple fruits matched with spices. The mouthfeel is supple and there is a nice acid tannin edge on the finish. Quite good although very primary, I think this should improve with time. 89+

Delicate yet sinister on the nose with unique high toned aromas of dark berry, plum, and pungent herbs. Great flavors on the palate such as dark berry, currant, herbs, and meat. The mouthfeel is attractive with bright firm textures throughout. Really nice complexity and balance to this wine.

Restrained and subtle with typical aromas of earth, cherry, raspberry, and herbs. Red and purple fruits on the palate supported by earth and herb tones throughout. Nice character and structure.

High toned and primary on the nose with notes of cherry, berry, stems, oak, and licorice. The palate has a supple entry leading to juicy purple fruits, spices, and an effortless savory mouthfeel. There is some oak here but I think it will integrate with time due to the fruit and structure present.

Interesting albeit unconventional aromas here with grain, biscuit, and underlying fruit. Smokey biscuity red fruits on the palate with fresh acidity giving the fruit a juicy tone. The character is almost grain or herb driven which gives this interesting personality but I wonder if it is from the oak treatment rather than the actual fruit. 87?

Delicate bright red fruits on the nose which also shows attractive sweetness, baking spices, and flowers. Fresh red fruits on the palate with spices and good tannin presence. I love the fresh bright style that showcases the attractive fruit here.

Great aromatics with high toned notes of red berry, plum, currant, herbs, and stones. The palate opens up with supple restrained red fruits leading to herbs and lacy texture through the finish. This comes across as slightly lean because of the substantial structure but it matches well with the fruit.

Dark intriguing nose with aromas of bark, ink, muddled cherries, herbs, and spices. Brilliant dark red berry and cherry flavors on the palate leading to a lifted sweet herb finish. Supple and approachable with fresh texture and firm tannins. This is long, dense, and structured, which promises greatness for this wine down the road.

High toned and pungent on the nose with red fruits, apple, and a slightly awkward sweet brightness. The flavors consist of red fruit, apple skin, and pomegranate. This wine has a weird profile and a short shrill finish.

Interesting and complex on the bouquet here with notes of herbs, black cherry, blackberry, and violets. The firm tannins and fresh acidity are dominant but the dark red and purple fruits are present. Seemingly closed at this stage but should be good. 90+

Really delicate with lacy minerality, reserved red fruits, and fresh herbs on the nose. Loads of cherry, berry, and herbal fruit explode on the palate and go well with the fresh acidity and firm tannins. Superb complexity and persistence bode well for the future of this wine, will probably be even better at peak maturity.

2007 Domaine Servin Chablis Les Pargues Première Cuvée 87 Points
France, Burgundy, Chablis
Quite crisp with aromas of lemon, minerals, and tropical fruits. This has an almost meaty citrus quality and although the fruit is lean initially the mouthfeel is supple.

2007 Domaine des Valanges Saint Véran Cuvée Hors Classe 90 Points
France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Saint Véran
Very nice aromatics here with pungent floral notes of preserved lemons and crunchy earth. Heady citrus and spice driven fruit in a supple yet focused style, just showing loads of density for this level. Really great and probably the best value of the tasting.

Delicate yet pungent on the nose with aromas of soft citrus, herbs, and grains. I love the complexity and elegance of the aromatics. Superb density and brightness with flavors of yellow and green fruits combined with grain undertones. I like the balance and complexity here; you have to love the wines from this producer.

2007 Domaine Robert-Denogent Pouilly-Fuissé Les Reisses Vieilles Vignes 93 Points
France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Pouilly-Fuissé
Complex and elegant with restrained floral notes of apple, mint, citrus, and chalk. Mouth filling fruit with notes of white and yellow fruits and bright spices. The flavors are almost perfumed with lifted mineral texture and great length. Effortless yet substantial this really delivers; I found the 2006s from Denogent to be slightly overdone and oaky but this is brilliant.

2007 Domaine de Roally Viré-Clessé Tradition 90 Points
France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Viré-Clessé
Pungent and high-toned, this delivers aromas of earth, anise, and sweet herbs. Some may find this dirty but the aromatics are really unique. Dense with sweet mineral infused fruit almost like it has a streak of earth or stones running through it. This is certainly unique but it may be a polarizing wine.
