  This remains a wonderful wine that astounds those who drink it. It is very dark in color, full bodied, much more so than the typical Rhone from either country. It is a complex wine with full bore fruit, mostly dark berries to start and a very toasty spicy long finish. It has layers of flavor that surprise and delight and structure and supple tannins to add further pleasure.
