The nose is full of spice and black cherry. Blackberry, cherry and raspberry dominate the palate. strong acids and round tannins, provide a long smooth finish.

PnP at cellar temp, the nose is all earth and the palate is cherry and wood - stems, not oak. Nice and savoury. Excellent.
A bit warmer and with more air, it's now taken on a lot of cranberry in the palate, including its astringency. The structure has definitely ratcheted up a notch. Aromas are more balanced between some heat (!), spice, fruit, and earth. Palate and finish have a definite sous bois character going on that I'm enjoying.

This seems vastly better than six months ago. Longer finish. More cocoa and cola on the palate and nose. Perfectly balanced with regard to tannins. Double decant.

The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Strawberry, and Cherry. It tastes like Strawberry, Black currant (cassis), Blackberry, and Cherry. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Angular texture. The wine finishes Medium. Opened up more after the first hour. I could taste the higher alcohol as well. Okay, but not as smooth or as complex as I prefer my Oregon Pinots.

Pinot nite with WH '09 and others. This only improved with time in decanter.
