Delicious Hermitage, makes me want to taste the La Chapelle once. This Petite Chapelle is dark purple in the glass with a small brownish edge. Strong nose. The palate gives fruit, spice, earth and leather. Truly great wine. At peak, or close to peak. Will be great for many more years to come.

This was one of several wines I lugged back from a French holiday several years ago. And it was worth the travel from the Rhone to Australia. The nose shows bright fruit but the palate is starting to show off an array of tertiary flavours - leather, sage and peppery notes to go with a red spectrum of fruit. Medium bodied and fine tannins. Good length too. Ready to drink now, but there's still upside if holding, no rush

Beautifull Hermitage. Still young in appearance, with a complex palate and a long, fresh and balanced finish. Best with food.

Red berries, pepper , herbs with licorise. Full satisfaction with softness. Enjoy with chicken braised over a bed of noodles.
