2007 base, disgorged 2013. This is just gorgeous. Round and fine with a crisp acidic rake on the finish. Great complexity with flavours of stewed apples and almond croissants. Gutsy but flattering. Drink now.

Fine Wines SG - Champagne BYO (Fine Wines SG): Pale lemon, silvery sheen, and quite brilliant. Firm yeasty aromas, florals, and a slight bit of nuts and caramel. There seems to be a hint of sweetness, and a ripe candied peach flavour. Fair length

Drank over a lazy Sunday afternoon. Distinctly 'Sherbert Lemons' boiled sweets colour. Nose is 'fresh from the oven' granary bread. Palate is very Epsom Salts initial attack backed by a Pinot-dominated backbone. Refreshing to the point of being bracing.....like standing in front of a strong sea breeze. Good Chardonnay-dominated length. Is very low dosage but not anorexic. I actually enjoyed drinking this on its own but I can see why others might prefer it with food. Brilliant QPR.....I actually preferred it to the Krug Grand Cuvee NV we opened the evening before.

Sehr gut als Schaumwein und nach zwei Stunden an Luft und Wärme als Wein fantastisch. Was will der Genussmensch mehr?

This is in a rich and bready stage with plenty of autolytic character. One to get your teeth into and really does need food.
