  Decanted for one hour. Darker ruby color. Nose of crisp red raspberry, cherry pits, violets, meaty red earth. Layers of brash red raspberry and extracted dark cherry fruit cut with iron, dirt, stone, and rustic brier on the palate. Significantly tannic structure mostly balanced by lively acidity. Moderate length finish of earth, iron ore, and copious red berry. Unabashedly transparent wine showing well but young. Will try again in 3-5 years.

  Ruby hue. Nose of intense blackberry compote and cinnamon. Very tight and nonforthcoming on the palate, but with air gave up some concentrated blue fruits with remarkable primary intensity. Will be terrific with requisite bottle age.
