Steak Dinner with Great Wine (Asador Bastian - Chicago IL): Ripe black cherry and plum with roasted meat and spice galore. Wonderfully harmonized tannins, this has a subtle wildness from the Cab franc, but it all comes together effortlessly. I appreciate the wine more than I find it thrilling, wishing for slightly more acidity and slightly less perceived alcohol.

Absolutely stunning! Color is deep and unevolved purple. Olive, flowers, and earthy herbs on the nose. Rich in the mouth, with layers of blue fruits, beefy iron/minerality, and that Cab Franc funk. Drank along side 85 Lynch, and 17 Futo SL and it quickly stole the show! So great, and aging at a glacial pace.

Excellent ullage. Opened an hour before tasting but not decanted. Lovely black cherry, spices (hint cinnamon), pine, and earthiness. Elegant taste with soft tannins and a medium length finish. Overall a lovely wine. Tried it again 2 days later and it had greatly softened but still showed well with elegance. The Cabernet franc in this blend really makes for a great wine.

This is still going strong and drinking at a peak. Obviously different profile from typical cab, so strikingly different in first taste. But really flavorful and balanced for great drinking. Wouldn't delay drinking long though.

(Dalla Valle Maya) Very dark red violet color; wild blackberry, herbal and mint nose; soft, tart black fruit, blackberry and berry palate; medium-plus finish

Rustic and leathery. Older fruit and tons of sediment.
