To be fair I probably should have opened this a few years ago but I never got around to it. It seems a little awkward on the nose, there is a grassy note with some lilac and blackcurrant, but also a strong citrus element that comes in over the top, blood orange if I had to pick it? The palate is in better shape, but it doesn't really show any interesting development from being 15 years old, it's softly sweet, has some reasonable acidity and shows acceptable length but that's about it.

This is still kicking. The ripe, mature bouquet is marked by black raspberries, berry-flavored Jolly Ranchers, and conifer interspersed among savory, umami elements. Juicy, tactile, and long, with a slight prick, and sweet flavors that turn plummy with air. Still has grip on the finish. Impressive.

An excellent dark red to purple hue, The nose has plum, dull apricot and dark cherry. Palate is showing wonderful aged characters of ripe dark fruits and wonderful savoury tannins. The length is considerable and finishes with dark cherry and ripe stem characters, at it's peak now and over the next year.

Solid, though nothing special. Didn't age as well as I thought it would.
