Beautiful nose, hot wine. Even after a four decant, alcohol was strong with heavy tannins. Feel like there is still a lot left int his, but it needed more time to develop

A bottle of wine befitting a Friday night in the kitchen... with a 3-week old on your hip. The nose– layered in irony, celebration and tickle fights. The perfect accompaniment to sirloin stuffed green peppers with a rich tomato sauce and decadent cheddar cheeses over a bed of noodle. At least, I hope so because that's what we're having. On the palette, silky as mother's milk, complex as mother's intuition. Deep ruby red like Caesar's blood spilled on the senate floor. We've waited 14 long months to rediscover the flavors of Del Dotto ... since our trip to Napa last fall. Well worth the wait? The other three bottles of this wine in our cellar won't last as long. 9/10

Decanted for two hours. Nice nose and good but not very long finish. Stood up well to semi-spicy shrimp.
