  Austere. Cloudy(sediment) deep ruby pink rim. Ripe dark fruit aromas- blackberry, blueberry, currant, cassis. Also graphite. Dusty, highly grippy, and bitter palate, with fruit solidly in background. Graphite, pencil, bitter dried herbs, ash. Smoky toasty oak, absent of vanilla or caramel or glycerin. I would have trouble placing this in the US. Needs a big piece of red meat. 23% Malbec is making itself present(unsweetened chocolate and marijuana). Pretty short finish.

  Great fruit, nose, balance and finish. Paired amazingly well with Kobe beef sliders. Drinking very well now.

  Super delicious. Except I was out at a more "casual" (but still quite expensive) "cocktail focused" restaurant, so the wine glasses were not 100% to my liking. From what I can tell this wine is at peak, with maybe another 2 years in such a state. Lots of fruit, blue and red, with some vanilla and a touch of leather.

  Very similar notes as last tasting. Very dark fruit, tar, tobacco, long and silky
