  • Unusually rich and complex for Sangiovese. This has aged nicely with a complex earthy finish.

  • Wow! When I first opened it, I thought, man I like to see what Laube would rate this. Right after opening there was chalky and gritty texture from the tannins which made me think, oh my this is only like a 70 or something. I gave the wine time, like an hour of air and the chalky and gritty feeling in the mouth were gone. Nose of cranberry, raspberry, cherries and some nice vanilla oak. Palate had good fruit, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries with some spice and oak. medium-bodied, smooth, medium length finish, good with red sauce or chicken parmesan dishes. This wine was being blown out at the winery for like $10.

  • Heritage: Great fruity, plummy, rich, intense nose; nice SG med+ bod w/ full t’s, plenty of supporting a’s. A very good, rich SG.
