What a pleasant surprise! A new world approach to Sangiovese from the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County. Mature and balanced with no rough edges, this wine was popped and poured and served with deli meats and cheeses. Lovely aromas of cranberry and red cherry. Graphite, cassis, stone fruit, herbs and cooking spices on the palate. Medium rich body and mouthfeel, layered and somewhat complex undertones that kept inviting us to try a little more. Will cellar for a couple more years but it's ready to drink right now. Excellent!

Opened at Baker Street in Fort Wayne. Soft nose of berry and graphite. New world Sangiovese for sure, lots of mineral in the presentation of the fruit. Good balance, complexity, and QPR! Tonight with prime rib.

Was very impressed with this. Way better than expected. Went wonderfully with the pizza we had. Medium to full bodied, had all the wonderful notes of a great Chianti, but with it's own CA character. Not over the top in terms of alcohol or body. Excellent food wine.
