  Popped and poured. Cork was in great condition and the color of the wine gave no indication of it's advancing years. The first half an hour, there was a hint of VA that distracted from the wine. This blew off and allowed more interesting notes to shine through. Aromas of potpourri, soft salted caramels that were cooked just into the darker stage, blackberry and roasted game meat. The palate had more blackberry, minerals and fire roasted plums. Clean finish, though I was hoping it would last a bit longer. Balanced acidity, medium weight on the mouth feel. Still going strong. Would purchase again.

This also still had that gorgeous tarry/gamey/floral syrah nose. One of my favorite (and there aren't many of them) Washington wines.

  Man do I just love this wine. Drinking very nice now. Dark, ruby red to the rim. etheral nose that you could just sit and enjoy all night.
