  • Let this rest upright for 2 weeks before opening. Ultra careful to not stir any sediment and slowly poured into decanter and discarded the bottom quarter of the bottle. Wine showed really well, tart cherry, brisk acid, and a great complement to the meal. If you take the time to be careful and avoid any sediment (there is a lot) then you will be rewarded. The sediment is very fine, so you can't rely on a filter. It is more of a cloudy/leesy type of sediment. Pour slow!

  • Turned to vinegar. Tried contacting winery, no response regarding the issue of a bad bottle. 3 left, will try them, but bet they are all flawed. Given the winery wouldn’t even respond, will never buy their wines again.

  • Some cherry and jam on the palate, however lots of acid, may be past its prime, will open another bottle soon to check. Too bad as it was great wine a little while ago.

  • I've had a lot of Jon's wines, and he's a great wine maker. I've had this Pinot several times over the past few years, it's been an interesting wine, very tart cherries, but servicable. Last night I opened a bottle that I had sitting upright for a few weeks for the sediment to settle, to be safe I poured it through a sediment filter into a decanter.

Interesting the aroma on the nose, initially, was very fragrant. Sadly the wine was all acid, it was just undrinkable. Left it in the decanter for quite a while and it didn't improve. I ended up pouring it out and opening a 2005 Bordeaux. I may have another bottle or two of this (CT says four, but I think it's wrong) I hope they've held up better then this one, but I certainly wouldn't be holding on to this wine else you may be in for an unpleasant surprise.
