well aged pinot, nothing overly complex, red fruits with leather, would have mistaken it for a corton 1er, acidity fading and finish was medium. i wonder if it had already peaked a year or two ago and is on its gradual decline. all in all a lovely pinot over an impromptu weekday dinner!

this is one of the first expensive pinots i ever bought. i can still remember purchasing it, and i've been carefully cellaring it ever since; my only bottle. every once in a while i thought about drinking it, but resisted. tonight, i just pulled the cork without regret.
that is until i tasted it. i really wish i were sharing it with some of you avowed pinotphiles, 'cause it's flipping fantastic!
this wine has structure, and balance; great acidity, and sensational fruit. plus, it's got a ton of $3 a gallon gas in the tank for the longer haul. the tannins are still jockying about, but they are oh, so sweet, with notes of black cherry (my favorite!), and a spicey 'shroom forest floor. man, this is the real deal in california pinot. highly recommended.

A nice aged Cali pinot. Color is medium garnet with bricking at the rim. Nose shows that typical pinot spicy cherry/leather combo, but somewhat restrained. On the palate, slightly sour cherry and spice, thinning on the mid-palate, and finishing with noticable acidity. An enjoyable wine.

A very good, well aged Pinot. Good fruit, mostly red cooked fruits, up front with a good finish. Medium bodied.
