  I’ve read a lot of hit or miss notes on these from vintage to vintage, but I’m happy to report this bottle was very much alive with a great stream of bubbles and a salted, creamy mousse. It is a noble champagne that has matured gracefully, but still felt very energetic. There’s a refreshing hit of citrus zest and sea foam that balances beautifully with the properly aged notes of toast, almond nuttiness and ripe yellow fruits. A wonderfully gastronomic wine. Beautiful bottle, beautiful Champagne.
