  • Sadly past its prime - brick colored, raisin on the nose and palate though just a touch of acidity remains to keep this from being poured down the drain. This was a great wine in its prime for a paltry tariff.

  • Still beautiful but I missed it's prime. Insert sad face here.

  • Bewitching and beguiling, this Spanish red blend was decanted and initially featured a sickly amber rust, with tawny edges and a nose of sherry, alcohol, raisins and prunes; tasted much the same, but not flawed or corked. It started shaping up at the 90-minute mark, darkening in color, gaining structure, with more characteristic fruit peaking through. By the 2:30 mark this was incredible! A dark purple ruby in the glass, the nose was of blackberries, currants, cassis and leather, the palate much the same, dry and with ample acidity. This was delicious at this point, and paired with grilled steaks superbly. The most incredible transformation that we've ever seen, and one of the most complex and bewitching wines we've experienced! This producer is now on our radar, and there is 1 more bottle of this at our local retailer.

  • Medium ruby color with bricking around the edge. A bit of funk initially that blew off with some swirling revealing worn leather, flowers, raspberries, vanilla, and baking spices. Medium body with fully integrated, ripe tannins and very nice acidity. The finish has very nice length with some cherry mixing with the spicy oak. A nicely aged blend from Spain that is drinking perfectly.
