  • Getting a bit tired, but with an hour's air showed more of the cherry, tar and herbs that give the wine some interest. Drink up.

  • Wineflock - Tour of 1988 (Jim's): Group #8, My #6 - Soft full crimson red color. Medium dustry red lifted fruit - somewhat subdued. Nice bowl of red cherries on the palate. Round balanced and smooth. Drinking well now, though it faded a bit with time in glass.

  • This was either past its prime or oxidized. On the first night there was some earth and cigar box, but the overwhelming impression was bruised plums. You could sense there had been something good here, but you missed it. By night two it was so oxidized it was port-like.

  • Wonderfully aromatic with autumnal spice and earth, tobacco leaf and cigar box, and dusty mushroom all intertwined. Soft on the palate, elegant and perfectly balanced, supple and cool. At peak now, so drink up.
